MOJO Bar is a legendary chain of UK bars. Established in a gritty backstreet of Leeds in 1996, MOJO quickly became a cultural icon, known for its dynamic blend of the greatest guitar music and perfectly crafted cocktails. Embodying a New York City dive style chic, MOJO is renowned for its lively environment, where the festivities continue into the night.
Challenge
MOJO Bar partnered with Wrise to refresh their website content. The challenge was to overhaul the outdated website and align the online presence with its vibrant and dynamic brand identity. The previous content was inconsistent, featuring a mishmash of styles and outdated messages that no longer represented the brand’s big personality. The redesign needed to not only refresh the look but also establish a cohesive and compelling voice that resonated with both new visitors and loyal patrons.
Solution
To captures MOJO’s vibrant and edgy spirit, a punchy and energetic writing style was used, blending humour with a bold, informal tone.
Catchy rhythmic slogans that echoes the beat of the music played in the bars were include like: “Music for the people. Food for the soul. Good times forever.” – a line that captured the brand’s ethos so well, it was incorporated into the logo.
Given the site’s minimalist content, it was crucial that every word made an impact. To achieve this, multiple options were written for each heading and section, allowing the client to choose the best fit. This approach allowed the brand’s personality to shine through every element of the site. Read sample ⬇️
