So, what is SEO copywriting exactly?

If your website is going to be a success, it needs content that draws a crowd and sells your business. To do this, you need SEO copywriting – an advanced approach to website content writing that combines two techniques for maximum effect.

Copywriting is the art of writing engaging content that entertains, persuades and informs. Content that turns clicks into customers.

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is a way to boost traffic by increasing a website’s rankings on Google.

When combined, SEO copywriting will make a powerful ally for any business website. A marketing tool that attracts traffic and converts interest into action.

Search engine optimisation

If you have a website, search engines will review it and rank it accordingly.

Whether it’s ranked 1st or 100th is down to hundreds of different factors. Understanding what is and isn’t important (or permitted), and then enhancing your website accordingly is called search engine optimisation (or SEO).

Ultimately, the goal is to increase your website's organic traffic by improving your website rankings. This can be done in numerous different ways. For example, search engines like fast, mobile-friendly websites with lots of helpful information and resources.

Why is this important? Essentially, Google wants to send people to websites that offer a fantastic user experience. So, how can you ensure your website provides a great experience? It's that simple.

The text you read online (such as on a website, ebook, press release, blog post or even a LinkedIn bio) is typically written by a content writer.

Great copy should be unique, engaging and persuasive. It should clearly articulate the benefits of your products or services and compel people to take action. It should speak clearly to the target audience have a clear goal.

SEO content writing is a combination of search engine optimisation (or SEO) and content writing. Using this technique, SEO content writers can optimise website content for search engines through the strategic placement of popular keywords and key phrases. The result? Better rankings, resulting in more traffic and more leads.

A keyword is a single word that a user types in to a search engine to try and find your business, such as ‘Writer’.

A keyphrase is a combination of keywords, such as ‘SEO Content Writing Services’.
